Hi,

I am trying to get the latest Firefox for Solaris. In the past I used to download it from

    https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/<release>/contrib

The last release I downloaded like this was 31.0. However, there is no Solaris version for version 32.0, 33.0, 34.0 and 35.0.

Any idea where I can get the latest Firefox (35.0 or later) for Solaris?

Thanks

hello, you could try the extended support release, which appears to be kept up to date still: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/31.4.0esr/contrib/

Thanks Philipp. I saw that but, as you can see, it is still at version 31. I understand that Solaris versions are not created by Mozilla but by Oracle. They used to be pretty quick in creating Solaris versions. Not sure what happened after 31.0. I was hoping to get the latest version.

Thanks

Maybe they decided to only do the ESR builds which is currently based on Firefox 31.0 until after 38.0 is released.

James,

Any difference between <release>/contrib/ packages and <release>esr/contrib ones? I see that for some of the past releases, there was no esr version of Firefox for Solaris.

Didn't understand the reference to 38.0 release in your response. The download site shows 36.* as the latest. Something special about 38.0?

Thanks

Firefox 35.0 (35.0.1) is the latest Release as 36.0 is currently on Beta channel (36.0b7) and Beta usually has about nine or ten builds for a version.

ESR is based on a Release every seven versions 10.0, 17.0, 24.0, now 31.0, and later 38.0
