I downloaded and installed Javascript but I am unable to get it to load. When I go to my addon settings it says it vulnerable and won't allow me to enable. I have tried giving each specific site permission to run but sites such as Netflix and Facebook will not work and tell me it is because Javascript is not enabled.

Hi Returning User and ESDMF, Certain versions of java may be marked as vulnerable, not Javascript.

If Javascript is disabled the about:config entry would reflect this. You have to change this to see it disabled:

All of JavaScript (not Java) has been disabled due to security concerns.

REALLY? Please stop trying to protect me form myself. None of my client web sites work any more because of this absurd choice. Please tell em how to turn javascript back on I need it!

Fred mixed up the two and did not come back and correct the posting at time as I pointed out to him quickly then. JavaScript is enabled by default.

Extensions like NoScript can disable JavaScript on a site.

Note that JavaScript in Firefox and the Java plugin are two different things as JavaScript was originally going to be called LiveScript. http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java

100% irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

I hate it when a thread gets hijacked and goes way off course. This was about JS not java.
