Hello everybody

(English is not my native language, I hope you will understand me clearly.)

I noticed the displaying time of the tree structure is not the same when just navigating inside bookmark's folders and sub-folders, or when MOVING a bookmark (new or existant, doesn't matters) inside.

The issue is that you need to be precise when moving it into sub-folders, because any error and all the tree structure disappear and you need to do it again (very boring when there is 3+ sub-folders...)

So, what I ask is : is there a time parameter in about:config (like register modification for windows start menu delay time), not to display a folder (the default time is OK), but to make it appear longer (it disappears too soon when moving bookmarks).

I made a woooonderful screenshot (I know, I should be an artist :P ) wich I think is easier to understand! BTW, a "bonus" issue : you need not to move "in diagonal", because then the menu will immediately disappear, any tips for that? (Other than "move it straight" ;-) )

I hope you'll understand my question, thanks for the help!

I cannot click on the toolbar listed bookmark without that extended menu disappearing as well. However when I try to drag a bookmark into a subfolder it does disappear.

However I can from the side bar view of bookmarks.

CTRL + B will open up the toolbar where an item can be dragged and dropped into a subfolder. However the menu for the subfolder will need to be collapsed first.

I have also investigated bugs similar to this and its from back in 2008 and has not have any activity or ETA for changing the time the menu stays on the screen: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432076

In the meantime I can offer the work around above.

Note that you can also drag the bookmark on the "Show your bookmarks" button next to the star on the location/address bar to move the bookmark to a specific folder or possibly use a cut and paste instead of dragging.
