This is my first time asking a questions, so I may not be doing it quite right. Anyway, after downloading the update to 37.0.1, viewing pdfs became different. I now get a separate download window (which I didn't get before) and when I go to the downloaded pdf file, I now have to answer several questions before I'm able to get the Reader to run. I believe pdfs used to just open up automatically in a new tab without having to do anything. Is there a way to restore that behavior? Thanks for your help.

Please try the following and see if it works:

1. Go to the firefox preferences by typing "about:preferences" in the location bar. 2. Choose the "applications" tab on the left. 3. Type "pdf" in the search box that appears. 4. You should get something similar to the attached screenshot. Click on the dropdown menu, and choose "Preview in Firefox" as the action.

Thanks, user293. This is much better. I still get a separate window for downloads (instead of a new tab), but this is a big improvement.

I wonder why this changed after I installed the latest update...

Thanks to both of you for your quick responses.

Cheers!
