That http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ test is for the Shockwave (for director) player (which is hardly used nowdays) as the Flash Player test is at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/


If you want to Test the more unstable Nightly development builds then there is http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 as the Testers hang out there compared to here.

Also those addons were plugins to be more accurate. Addons is a general term that groups together Extensions, Plugins, Themes (both image and complete), dictionaries, search engines.

Also IE uses a ActiveX version of Flash plugin so it is not the same.
