Hi, Firefox should remember your zoom setting for each site you visit - there isn't a 'one size fits all' setting.

If you are referring to the new tab page specifically, you can stop that resetting when you click on a new tab by: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.newtab.preload and double click on it to change 'Value' from True to False.
