I manage our company infrastructure and we need to do cross browser testing for web applications in an isolated network with no internet access. How can I deploy addons for all users without granting users admin rights to install addons themselves on Windows Server 2012 R2?

You can read some article on Mike Kaply's website:

Are you planning to use the current release (41.0.2) or the Firefox 38.3.0 ESR release?

more options

Yes I am planning to use the current release, 41.0.2. I had a typo in the system details pane, 41.0.1 is currently installed. Not 40.0.1. I read Mike Kaply's site and a customized version isn't feasible. We need to sign off website compatibility using native versions/plugins/functionality.

It also appears that Admin rights are necessary to install Firefox Add-ons, but the point is to save time from having multiple users performing the same tasks. In the corporate world, time is money. 10 users spending 5 mins of overhead time to install all the plugins they need is much less desirable than 1 admin user spending 5 mins to deploy all the plugins everyone needs so the 10 users can spend their time on billable tasks.
