If an addressee is e-mailed something the address Display will change and sometimes the first & last names change too causing the addressee to show up in the address book as their first or last name rather than their organization. What causes this scrambling and forces me to find the addressee and repair it back to the way it was ? This scrambling of the display only occurs when sending an e-mail to the respective addressee and only to certain addressees, not all.

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try the following:

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.
