I used to have a drop down for previously closed tabs now I don't! I am talking about when you accidentally close a tab and then want it back. Can't do that anymore. WHY?

That's usually on the History menu, either:

  • Classic Menu Bar: History > Recently Closed Tabs
  • Graphical Application Menu: History > (list below "Restore Closed Tabs")

Note: closed tabs are listed on a window-by-window basis or in other words, in a particular window, you only see the previous tabs from that window.

The right-click context menu for each tab also has Undo Close Tab to recover the last closed tab in the window. (The keyboard shortcut for that is Ctrl+Shift+t if you are a keyboard person.)

Did you have the list somewhere else? Perhaps that was a feature of an add-on.

Note that you also have "Undo Closed Tab" in the Tab bar context menu and can use the Ctrl+Shift+T keyboard shortcut multiple times if necessary.
