Firefox is randomly not saving my tabs on exit.
This is a recent problem. We have always saved our tabs on exit, but recently Firefox has on occasion not saved the tabs. We don't get a "Well, this is embarrassing" tab on reopen either. The new session of Firefox opens with just our homepage tab, and nothing else. This has happened 3 times in the last two weeks. We've not changed our settings or made any other changes, and this has happened on both a laptop and a desktop computer which are not synced. Our version of Firefox is up-to-date - 44.0.2; updates are automatic.

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar to make sure Firefox closes properly.
- 3-bar Menu button > Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File > Exit
- Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox
- Linux: File > Quit
If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature. To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
Thanks for your input, but this is a very random problem. I close Firefox the same way every time. Sometimes it saves my tabs and sometimes it doesn't. Yesterday my tabs disappeared; today they came right back up. I haven't changed anything yet Firefox reacts differently.
All my settings are correct to save the tabs, obviously, or it wouldn't work at all.
