First, have your ISP check your service. Start Win IE. Is this also slow?

Unplug your modem for a slow count of 10 to reset it.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Not an issue with ISP, as I said the wireless connection speed is operating at 65 mbps. This is true whether I am connected through Verizon at a friend's house or at my apt through T-mobile. Win IE is just as slow. I started Firefox in Safe mode as well. No change.

Was trying to download a program and the downloader window was just hanging for 30 minutes until it finally disappeared. Tried this several times and have had the same result.

Note streaming audio and audio/video does not result in the same problem...

Hi Fred,

It appears to happen when I am downloading anything from ANY website. For instance, it takes 15 minutes for me to download a file from cnet that is 14mb. Any thoughts?
