I use Selenium Webdriver with Firefox to automate web testing scenarios. When Selenium starts the Firefox browser two tabs appear on startup, the default tab and a Skype addon tab. I've tried disabling Skype, removing from my PC and everything else I can think of to get rid of this Skype tab appearing on startup but nothing seems to get rid of it. This doesn't happen when I start my own session of Firefox (and I understand Firefox profiles a little bit and realize Selenium is using one profile and when I start FF a different profile is being used). If I try to manually start Firefox with the same profile that Selenium uses I don't see this extra Skype tab appearing, it only happens when Selenium starts Firefox. How do I get rid of this Skype tab when Selenium starts Firefox?

Is Skype installed globally because in such a case will Firefox ask for confirmation when you create a new profile.

It could be possible to exclude specific install locations or install (enable) all extensions automatically.
