What could be causing my videos to play everywhere except ESPN?

I'm not sure when this problem surfaced exactly, but quite recently. I have a fairly new desktop MAC with the latest version of FF and Flash. Videos play on every site except ESPN. I have a MacBook Pro machine (2015) and they do play there. When I compare permissions for the ESPN page on these machines, they seem to be the same. When I attempt to access an ESPN hompage video, the video screen simply goes black; there is no error message. I have no other functionality issues. I have played around with turning permissions off and on. I uninstalled FF and Flash and reloaded them both. The error persists, just as the browser continues to work fine with videos on every other platform.

Right-click on the player. Is it flash, or something else?

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I've tried everything here: installing and uninstalling Firefox, installing and uninstalling Flash, disabling Hardware Acceleration. I am on a MAC and now using Sierra OS. But nothing has changed operationally with that, on ESPN or other sites. I can run these ESPN vids on Safari, but I much prefer Firefox and I don't like switching back and forth. Most advice seems to pertain to Windows users. I have read most everything out there, but must be missing something.
