Firefox crashes
Firefox will crash spontaneously while visiting many different sites (even while filling out this crash report). This crash happens using Internet Explorer as well. I verified my version of Firefox is up to date. I disabled all of my add-ins and the crashing continues. I started in Safe Mode and the crashing continues. It rarely crashes on startup so I did not uninstall/reinstall. I tried to do a plug-in check on the Firefox page, but it kept searching without every coming to a final report. We've tried updating Windows but that also keeps searching with no end (even over night). We have Windows 7 and chose not to update to Windows 10. We have done Virus Scans with McAfee with no findings. The crash seems to happen most often with Gmail and Google Calendar. Sometimes there are a few crashes in a row and sometimes there is a 5 or 10 minutes between crashes. I tried to check my RAM for errors, but when I went to the Memtest86+ website, I didn't know which file to download and use. Not good instructions on that page. bp-5f8bd56f-0fc7-48c7-b11e-6d9f62161010 10/10/2016 12:49 PM bp-6af91abc-41bc-49be-81e3-d9ce92161010 10/10/2016 12:41 PM bp-393dc20e-c035-4f1e-a75f-f8f912161010 10/10/2016 12:40 PM bp-f7eab0ec-a824-4b76-842c-02fa32161010 10/10/2016 12:40 PM bp-438e7346-a7e0-4ff1-8a07-7659b2161010 10/10/2016 12:40 PM bp-65b5c658-a757-4b3a-8c87-52a3c2161010 10/10/2016 12:25 PM bp-ce38b669-d405-4ab1-b35b-885722161010 10/10/2016 12:22 PM bp-86385a6c-dacb-48e5-9633-f9d4e2161010 10/10/2016 12:15 PM bp-56c2526a-a548-493e-be35-cee9e2161010 10/10/2016 12:14 PM bp-26afd178-d2dd-475c-a753-829b92161010 10/10/2016 12:14 PM 10a28bcf-75c8-4674-b5b2-d52f73f57a8f 10/10/2016 12:13 PM bp-6ea00a05-35d1-4c63-966e-c66d32161010 10/10/2016 12:13 PM bp-cd4437d0-5671-47b9-91ff-cf9c72161010 10/10/2016 12:11 PM bp-9d9b421b-f17d-47e5-ba78-3fca02161010 10/10/2016 11:43 AM bp-1debed59-db7c-4208-bc11-871f72161010 10/10/2016 11:37 AM bp-41e623b6-0ede-4c11-bb72-e54ef2161010 10/10/2016 11:36 AM bp-e54f0491-17ff-46d6-b486-b1a122161010 10/10/2016 11:19 AM bp-3c5f059a-4376-44d4-ad32-e4ac52161010 10/10/2016 11:18 AM bp-7d6cc538-0cc4-4f1e-9da6-b1f542161010 10/10/2016 11:12 AM bp-db5e5319-31ae-4887-8310-281432161010 10/10/2016 11:02 AM bp-6ce89c82-db86-4768-b980-1e93b2161010 10/10/2016 10:55 AM bp-210e19b7-a589-4bc9-bb55-256f12161010 10/10/2016 10:49 AM bp-0b7baf04-8640-4ea3-bcaf-838c82161010 10/10/2016 10:38 AM bp-63d68c02-8146-4eec-b468-944ed2161010 10/10/2016 10:31 AM bp-c4560c42-2d1b-45b1-896d-be9662161010 10/10/2016 10:31 AM b1498a0c-c48d-4eaa-b8b7-ba288187e1a9 10/10/2016 10:30 AM bp-9d4f411c-7638-47ba-89a9-056202161010 10/10/2016 10:30 AM bp-c684e797-64f6-4d67-8dae-d7d5d2161010 10/10/2016 10:12 AM bp-b4a58c66-7017-4914-abb6-3c2572161010 10/10/2016 10:10 AM bp-050542df-f886-4580-b588-66c2d2161010 10/10/2016 10:06 AM bp-eea11bc4-b3ad-4e80-817e-7918d2161010 10/10/2016 10:03 AM bp-98b73ecf-82e8-4c6b-b768-223f72161010 10/10/2016 9:28 AM bp-f761af9d-7869-404a-995a-54db22161010 10/10/2016 9:10 AM bp-98385bdb-520f-43df-9127-5563e2161010 10/10/2016 9:09 AM bp-c1366cc0-d2f6-42eb-801d-d3ce72161010 10/10/2016 9:08 AM bp-77c26070-5d59-4dc7-a29c-7176f2161010 10/10/2016 9:06 AM bp-bbcc7a0c-1c06-485a-b231-5af092161010 10/10/2016 9:06 AM bp-eddf1293-4937-4b26-873f-ca67a2161009 10/10/2016 8:20 AM cd7cc207-a2bd-4146-9b67-d7650e7d2ff3 10/10/2016 8:19 AM

This crash happens using Internet Explorer as well
That may mean it's something like another program causing the problem.

Because both browsers are having problems;
You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Ahh, good idea. I'll give those 5 programs a try and get back with you. Thanks, Fred!
since there is a whole range of different crash signatures, i'd suspect that this issue might be hardware-related. you might want to use a tool like www.memtest.org to check the integrity of your RAM...
FredMcD, I tried all 5 malware programs you suggested. They did find some things. I deleted them, rebooted and am still having issues with my internet crashing.
philipp, can you help me figure out how to use the memtest? I went to the link, downloaded a couple different versions of the memtest86+ and the links I tried didn’t work. The USB one (Auto-Installer for USB key) wanted me to have a USB Drive checked and the .zip one (Pre-compiled boostable ISO) wanted to look at my CD drive (wouldn’t let me choose any other option). Which one do I choose to get it to look at my RAM? The RAM definitely sounds like it might be the issue, just want to figure out how to test it and what to do about it if it is the issue.
Thanks again guys for your help on this.
hi again, memtest isn't a program that you can run under windows but you'll have to create a bootable device (either a usb stick or a cd-rom) with the image that is available at the homepage and then start your computer once from that device... there are some guides like at http://www.techfleece.com/2013/07/01/how-to-test-your-ram-sticks-using-memtest86/ that explain it step-by-step and hopefully make it easier to understand.
