Hello,

How can I play (in the web browser) .mov files ?

It works for .mp4 but not .mov

I searched on google and everything I find are old threads relating to "quicktime plugin" (which is no longer supported)

Thank you

You can consider to use an external player like VLC to play these files.

You will have to download the clip and play it from your hard drive.

For VLC and the VLC plugin you will have to switch to the ESR Firefox version. On Windows you shouldn't use QuickTime because the QuickTime version for Windows is no longer supported by Apple and has a lot of unpatched security vulnerabilities. I don't know if VLC can handle all .mov file formats, so you would have to check that.

Firefox 52 and later releases only support the Shockwave Flash plugin and disable all other plugins. You can use the Firefox 52 ESR release if you need to use other plugins.
