I cant reply to my emails - there is a message that comes up saying; An Error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: smtpin1.paradise.net.nz:110

I think that you have set the wrong server name & settings for your e-mail provider in Thunderbird.

In Thunderbird: Right-click your account in the normal folder view of Thunderbird and choose Settings.
For incoming e-mail: Select "Server Settings" on the left side under your e-mail account, and the settings are on the right side.
For outgoing e-mail: Select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left side, then select the server you want on the right side. Click the "Edit" button to change the settings.
