occasionally I will receive a particular email that requires my immediate attention, however if I received a bunch of emails after that one arrived, I may not see it right away. How do I set an alarm or signal so that I know when the "special attention" email arrives?

If you are expecting an important email from eg: a known email address You could use try this... Create a special 'Important' folder. Create a Message Filter called 'Important' set it up so that if 'From','contains' and type the email address 'Move message to' and select the 'Important' folder Then when that email arrives, the 'Important' folder will turn blue, so you can check the new mail. You can move the email to a suitable folder after reading. You can edit eg: email address and reuse that 'Important' Message Filter as required.
