I have 2 accounts, 1 Gmail (using IMAP, and 1 POP3. I see no way to set these up to have both checked when I click on Get Messages. The only account checked is the POP3 account which is the primary. There are no check boxes to have it check email. So, I have to check each one individually.

You use to be able to click on the Get Messages and it checked all the account that were set up to be checked. There used to be an option on the Account set for that and it's now gone.

Why would you want to do that in the first place? You can tell Thunderbird to automatically check for new messages.

'Get Messages' will work for the selected mail account. In the 'Get Message' drop down seletion 'Get all new Messages' will operate on all mail accounts automatically.

Why? Because I don't want T'Bird to automatically check for new messages. I use MailWasher to pre-read messages and get rid of crap before it gets to T'Bird. MailWasher also makes it easy to report Spam.

If you don 't want TB to check for new mail; go to View Settings for each email setup, choose Server settings; uncheck the three (3) settings for checking mail, you'll now need to manually check for your messages for each account setup.

I know this, and it's how I have TB setup. What I'm missing, and it use to be there is a 1 Click "Get All", not a two click. Or at least give me some way to customize the Menu Bar to include a "Get All Messages."
