While I am waiting for a new tab to open or doing a search or download, the spinning arrow has been replaced by a horizontal bouncing ball. It is very very very annoying. How do I either get the spinner back, replace the bouncing ball with something else, or just delete the bouncing ball?

Our very own jscher2000 created this style rule to revert the tab throbber back to the old blue loading circle. You need to create a userChrome.css file in your profile folder to achieve this then copy / paste the below code into it, restart Firefox. Instructions on how to create that file is linked below

If you cannot follow the above instruction, please see the follow reply by jscher2000 in one of the previous threads on this issue on how to go about getting this done

/* Revert tab throbber - for Nightly 57 as of 9/20/2017 */ .tab-throbber[busy]::before { background-image: url("chrome://global/skin/icons/loading.png") !important; animation: unset !important; } .tab-throbber[busy]:not([progress])::before { /* Grays the blue during "Connecting" state */ filter: grayscale(100%); } @media (min-resolution: 2dppx) { .tab-throbber[busy]::before { background-image: url("chrome://global/skin/icons/loading@2x.png") !important; } }
