Whenever I right click it instantly clicks first element on the pop up menu, for example when I right click a link it automatically opens that link in a new tab, other example is when I right click over no element and I got back to my previous page (like if I were clicking back button in the right click pop up menu)

Sorry, I already found the solution, it was something weird happening with some window managers on Linux (in my case bspwm), the solution was to edit userChrome.css with this content without quotes

"#contentAreaContextMenu { margin: 10px 0px 0px 10px; }"

If someone has this problem can try this if Safe Mode doesn't solve it.

more options

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
