When I click on a link in the Toolbar, it opens in a Sidebar instead of a tab or new window. I've reset the Options & Customize in the Menu, but it's still happening. I want the link to open in a new tab, then go to that tab immediately.

Thanks,

A bookmark that opens in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.

You can check the properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac). In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Detail pane at the bottom right. Make sure "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

Thank you very much. I didn't know that was a default as it had never happened before. I also discovered that right clicking on the link in the Toolbar, then Properties, showed that all my Toolbar quick links had the "Show in Sidebar" option checked! I'm not a computer novice, but this was a first for me. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
