If I have multiple Firefox windows open and for some reason close all applications that are running currently (including firefox) for a restart. Then, Firefox does not open all closed windows. It opens one window (I am not sure how it chooses which one to retain from the previously closed multiple windows).

How do I configure Firefox to open all windows as I left it before the restart?

Thanks

Best practice is to close Firefox using the Exit command in the 3-bar menu, in the File menu, or by using the keyboard command of {Ctrl + Shft + Q}. And give Firefox a minute or so to close and save all open windows (and data files) before proceeding to Restart the Windows OS.

Using the X in the upper-right corner will close each window, one at a time, and then the "Restore" feature will only work for the last open window; all other windows are excluded from "Restore Previous Session". Basically the same for allowing Firefox to be closed by Windows, as part of the Restart procedure for Windows; you might only get the last Firefox window that was open, and IMO that is a "crap shoot" - no consistency in what window in Firefox will re-open.

Hi, Firefox sounds like it is doing what it is suppose to do when it is shut down properly. Please see this re : pinned tabs : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pinned-tabs-keep-favorite-websites-open
