Firefox has a popup that says it can't update to the latest version so I need to download a fresh copy. How large is this download?

I am temporarily ( for the next month) on a limit to the size of files I can download. I was asked to download the new "fresh" version on Firefox. I just need to know the size of the download so I know if I should do it now or wait.

Hi, I have never heard of that pop-up before. What address did it say to download from ?

Just to confirm it can not please go to Help --> About and try, may have restart Firefox.

Thanks for the information. I can handle 52,8 megs. I didn't investigate the source of the download request. If it re-emerges I will pass on that information.

It may have been nefarious. I just went under Firefox preferences and ask it to update, which it did. There was no mention of having to download a "fresh" version.
