November 15, 2018 update to 63.0.3 had rendered FF useless for printing anything. All documents now get squished down into a much smaller size than whatever the native page size is of whichever printer I select. This is not a user settings issue. No issue with scaling or fit or shrink to page or margin setup. I changed nothing and verified that all those related settings are still correct. Something's broken in the print engine.

Hi bigfatbrain, did you verify settings through the Page Setup dialog? Firefox also has a number of hidden settings for such things as the distance between the footer and the edge of the page, and paper data extracted from your printer, that sometimes become nonsensical.

In case you haven't already gone into about:config, this is the next-level reset procedure:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste print and pause while the list is filtered

(3) For each setting that specifically mentions the problem printer, right-click and Reset it. The fastest way is to right-click with the mouse and then press the r key on the keyboard with your other hand.

Here's a possible shortcut: In a couple threads involving printouts that used a small portion of the page (on Brother printers), the preference printer_printer_name.print_paper_data was set to 256 and when the user edited it to 1 that -- all by itself -- fixed the paper size problem. If you use a Brother printer and see something other than 1 there, you can edit the value by doubling-clicking it or using right-click>Modify to see whether 1 is the number you need. If you use A4 size paper instead of letter size, try a printer_paper_data value of 9 instead of 1.

Your reply helped me solve the issue. I had been in the config previously trying to solve this problem. But your advice helped me find the culprit. All my printers were set to a paper width of 4.88 inches. Which is the correct setting for my label printer only. Not sure if it's a coincidence that this glitch occurred on the same day as the last update or not, but something replicated my thermal printer's page width to my 2 other printers as well. I just reset that config setting for both of my laser printers and all is now well.

Thanks again.
