Hi,

We are looking to migrate from FireFox Standard to FireFox ESR for all computers in our estate. We have around 5K computers with FireFox (non ESR) we run mostly firefox version 64 as we use 3rd party updates and have been updating the version. I tested installing ESR on a PC with Firefox installed and I noticed that it installed fine, but both firefox versions were kept.

When i uninstalled the normal firefox version, ESR worked fine, and it has all my favorites and data still showing which is perfect. My Idea to install ESR on all the PC's is to use a collection in SCCM that will install ESR, however, as ESR does not uninstall the old firefox this leaves a bit of a problem. I could create a collection to uninstall the old firefox but the product code for firefox and firefox esr is the same, this means both would be uninstalled.

Any ideas / what have people done before?

Cheers, Alexander
