The browser currently downloads files and holds them in its own downloads section on the browser (android).

I am not able to open my credit card statement from this location or move the files about, rename them or otherwise manage them. I would like to download files from webpages and store them in my downloads folder on my phone, not within the browser.

Could someone help with this please? All of the support for download management refers to the desktop version and there seems to be nothing (and no options) for the mobile version.

Thank you.

Hi

When you download a file using Firefox for Android, the actual file itself is stored on the mobile device. if you use a file manager app on your device, you will see the files saved in a "Downloads" folder.
