Firefox offers (strange) websites on iOS when type first letter(s)
Have an issue or maybe it is a feature...
Here are details
- latest iOS 13.3.1
- Latest firefox
- No search engine suggestions (switched off)
- No browsing history (switched off)
- No offline data (switched off)
- Incognito mode switched on
- Tracking protection is switched on
- Block trackers is set to strict
- Have only couple of favorites
Symptoms When you type in address field just one letter “L” it offers live.com And there are more like this for other letters
Is this a sponsored URL? I don’t have them on my firefox desktop. Or, somehow device has been compromised?

Indeed. It looks like a auto suggestions feature for paid content. So far I don't see any option disable auto suggestions.
I do recommend to open a feature request. Simply send your comment via email to ios-feedback@mozilla.com or go to Firefox > Settings > Send feedback. Even better open a feature request on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org

Just checked again and performed few more actions:
- Despite browsing history has been switched off and cleared many times some entries somehow have been kept. I cleared them but it didn't help
- cleared favorites (firefox is no longer offers some websites, but still offers)
- attached screenshot of settings
- attached couple of examples
L - live.com LE - legacy.com
- tried other letters
Q - qvc.com A - amazon.com B - bing.com C - craiglist.org
Moambuepyre
D - diply.com E - ebay.com and so on...
If I try two letters, same behaviour (as you see for "LE") AA - aa.com AB - about.com AC - accuweather.com
Even, with three letters: ABC - abcnews.go.com CAR - cars.com
