I have just migrated from Incredimail to Thunderbird, and was wondering if emails in Thunderbird can be marked as read by clicking on the message in the inbox the same as was possible in Incredimail. Can this be done without right clicking on the Mark as read option.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks

The M key toggles the Read/Unread state.

Here is a shortcut list for Thunderbird that might be helpful. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts

You can also add a Mark button to the Mail toolbar. Right click the Mail toolbar. The one with Get Messages and Write. Select Customize. Find the Mark button and drag and drop on the Mail toolbar.

There is also a read status column where you can click to toggle the state with a click. (If you don't see any green dots, then you probably have that column turned off - right click in the column header area to get a menu to choose which columns are displayed.)
