I have a subscription to the NY Times and have been using their archives which they call TimesMachine. Until yesterday it worked fine. Now when I type in a specific date the "I'm thinking" screen comes up and then it hangs. This does not occur when I'm using Chrome. I just re-did Firefox but it didn't help.
