Hotmail.com messages not loading

more options

For the past three weeks I've been having a problem with my Hotmail messages not loading on my desktop computer. (I have no issues with a laptop, iPhone, or iPad.) Each time I clear the cache, which solves the problem, but it's gotten so bad that I'm clearing it every couple of days...and I'm getting tired of re-entering all my passwords :-).

The only extensions I have are 1Password, Facebook Container, and uBlock Origin.

Any suggestions?

You mention clearing Firefox's cache. Have you tried clearing your browser's cookies as well?

Sorry, I did delete browser cookies too. It was a couple of weeks ago, so I just did it again. Will see it that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi kgrinstead, could you describe this problem in more detail? How far do you get:

  • Open Hotmail inbox on an address like https://outlook.live.com/mail/
  • If you have a split view, when you single-click a message in the Inbox, it shows in the Reading pane
  • When you double-click a message in the Inbox, it opens in a popup window

If the third one is where you get a blank screen or a weird message about being able to close it now, I recognize that problem because I had it, and maybe yours is due to the same reason.

I use the setting to delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed, and then set individual exceptions for sites where I want to stay logged in. If you use this setting, you need an exception for Outlook.
