Bookmarks & Other Bookmarks
Greetings,
Today, I went to access my Bookmarks, & found them "Empty", other wise "Missing"!
I found the "How to recover missing Bookmarks" topics, & that did bring back, what I consider to be My "Permanent Books", bu the section called "Other Bookmarks" will not come back, no matter how many times I go through the "Restore Bookmarks".
I Absolutely need that section to be restored, for I had many files in that section that I updated daily, that I planned to move to the "Bookmarks Section".
How can I get get this section restored?

I got to the [point of being able to see "⌄ Other Bookmarks ❯ Other Bookmarks", but as far as far as "right-click > Select All or Ctrl+A", that is not working.
Sorry, I was referring to the Library window -- either "Show All Bookmarks" or Ctrl+Shift+B. That one has two separate panes: folder list on the left, folder contents on the right.

I have lost all my bookmarks too with the upgrade to version 89 I tried verifying the integrity of the places database but got the following results: > Task: checkIntegrity - Unable to fix corruption, places.sqlite will be replaced on next startup
Did you try doing a regular exit/restart of Firefox to see whether a new Places database was created? If needed, you can delete it manually. See: Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message.
Greetings Jscher,
At the Library Window, is what I'm speaking of,.... Nothing can be moved from one side to the other.
Hi David, I know this is frustrating for you because you can't read my mind, and it's difficult for me to be more helpful because I can't see what is going wrong in your Library window.
Perhaps this image below will help,....
I can not,.... Copy & Paste, nor drag, .......anything, be it the Full Folder, nor specific files, from the column on the right, to any category in the column on the left.
Do You understand now?
Thanks, David. This is what I have in mind:
We have a Failure to Communicate Jscher,..... Per my last post at Today, at 7:55PM:
"I can not,.... Copy & Paste, nor drag, .......anything, be it the Full Folder, nor specific files, from the column on the right, to any category in the column on the left. "
Nothing will move from the right column to the left column.

I have no explanation for inability to drag and drop as long as your database is healthy. Are you able to add new bookmarks normally?
For copy/paste, you would open the destination folder and paste on the right side.
" as long as your database is healthy" ?
How does one determine that Jscher, & is this something that would have shown up with all that has already been done?
"Are you able to add new bookmarks normally?"
All Bookmarks added, since the problems began, have been falling in to the Main Folder, whereas previously they fell in to the "Other Bookmarks Folder".
If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
This can be caused by a problem with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite databases in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.
If "Verify Integrity" cannot repair places.sqlite, rename/remove all places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
You lose the history when a new places.sqlite is created.

Greetings Cor-el,
I did as you asked, & I've posted any data that I could find in the ""Verify Integrity" section related to the "places.sqlite /favicons.sqlite " below.:
+ The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane
> Task: invalidateCaches + The caches have been invalidated > Task: checkCoherence + The database is coherent > Task: expire + Database cleaned up
+ Places.sqlite size is 15360KiB + Favicons.sqlite size is 5504KiB
+ Table sqlite_stat1 has 19 records + Index sqlite_autoindex_moz_origins_1 + Index sqlite_autoindex_moz_inputhistory_1 + Index sqlite_autoindex_moz_bookmarks_deleted_1 + Index sqlite_autoindex_moz_keywords_1 + Index sqlite_autoindex_moz_anno_attributes_1
If this were a ECU for a Walk-n Refrigeration unit, I'd know what these "Codes" above meant, but here, I don't have a clue whether the data is pointing out a problem, or stating that what is causing the "Bookmarks" problem, is not to be found in the above Data.
