When I type a hostname without a TLD into the address bar, Firefox automatically appends .com to it. I have several local devices in my network that I want to access using their hostnames instead of remembering a bunch of IP adresses, so this is very annoying. On Firefox Desktop, I can disable this behavior by setting browser.fixup.alternate.enabled to false in about:config. How can I do this on Firefox for Android? There doesn't seem to be an about:config page.

I know this is not the right place for suggestions, but I also think this setting is important enough to deserve an entry in the regular settings menu.

Hi

You may wish to try Firefox for Android Beta or Nightly that has about:config available.

I was indeed able to change the setting there and it gets the job done. Thanks! I hope to see this in the stable release soon.
