I keep getting emails from ojode@noboland.com. I have never responded because I believe they are dangerous. I have fixed it so that they always go to "junk". Is there any way I can stop them coming to my Thunderbird application in the first place?

Not really, unless your mail provider offers the ability to block mail from particular senders. Some certainly do.
