In Firefox <69 was a convenient behavior: when click on the address bar you see the speeddial with top sites. Now i can't see anything. In the menu i can just open long list of bookmarks, which are even not sorted.

How can I open the main page with pinned sites without closing the current tab and open a new one? Ridiculous.

Please return previous behavior back. I prefer to see a speed dial instead of a darkened website.

Hi

If you select "Add to top sites" when browsing a site in Firefox for Android, it will be added to the top sites on the Firefox for Android home screen.

I hope that this helps.

Read again: it works only for a new tab, not when you click on address bar. Did you use Firefox before 70 version?

Hi

Yes, I did use Firefox for Android before version 70.

In Firefox for Android, the top sites can be found on the home screen. In the Search section of the Settings, you can select for the search results to return results from your browsing history (which will include sites that you visit frequently) and your bookmarks.

Just download an old version and open any website. After it will be loaded click to the address bar.

Repeat this in the latest version.

Yes - what you are seeing there are the top sites on the home screen. As mentioned above, that functionality is still in Firefox for Android.
