after update to firefox 94.0.1 i cant make sense of items typed into most header items (URL, tab names, bookmarks etc...... ) due to missing letters, scrambled characters, etc.

I had just allowed a win 10 update (feature update 21h1). I have unintalled that win update, uninstalled Firefox 94.0.1 update, reinstalled firefox (could only find 94.0.1 to reinstall so I did). PROBLEM remains/// help me if you can???

[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Under fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. Scroll to the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

Make sure you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the OS settings.

  • We have seen reports that this can be caused by a problem with fonts like Roboto or Helvetica that

you have installed locally and that might be corrupted or are missing some variants. Also, make sure you allow pages to choose their own fonts and that you do not block remote (downloadable) fonts.

  • If you use uBlock Origin make sure not to "block remote fonts".

Hi, did you already try doing a regular shutdown/restart of Windows 10??

Firefox usually uses the Segoe UI font for tab and toolbar text. It is unusual to see a problem with that font.

I wonder whether it is worth trying to use the Windows installer's Repair feature? I guess I would prefer for a Windows expert to weigh in on that.
