I am using Thunderbird 91.5.1(64bit).

I changed "Events and Tasks" in calendar preferences as followed. - Default Event and Task Length: 30min. - Start Date: Tomorrow - Due Date: Next Week

When I create new Event or Task, default length is applied but start date and due date are not applied as I set in Preferencs. Start date and Due date are allways set as today.

Any work around?

I don't know a workaround, but it looks like this bug, which you can comment on or follow:
