Lightning continues to send reminders for events that have past
1. Lightning continues to show reminders for events that have past. This is not a new problem but recently I felt the need to bring this to Mozilla's attention. The recent instance involved an appointment on 2/8/2022. I have received reminders for the event each day after and each time I dismissed it because I attended the appointment. 2. In the reminder, I click on dismiss and nothing happens and the reminders that were dismissed "pop" back up later. 3. How can events be ended and no longer have reminders for the prior events? I understand when someone might need to know if they missed an event such as an appointment but shouldn't dismissing the reminder each time it has a reminder window that pops up be enough to say that the event no longer needs to be reminded? 4. Could this be a bug? If not could events be acknowledged prior to the event, have the option to keep reminding, reschedule, dismiss at this time, or end all reminders for that event? This seems to be a problem that does not function as intended.
Any help on this issue? Thank you,

If you locate the Event and click on Edit Is it set up to 'Repeat' ? and Until eg: forever or a set date ? Reminder: what is selected ? Post an image as it offers full info.
How many occurances did you create for the Event ? You would assume one, but is it possible there are more?
