Why can’t I find quartzbenefits.com on Firefox app? According to Quartz, its page is available for Firefox, too. Note: I used Firefox for a long time, and stopped after getting a new phone, and now I already have the Firefox app. There are a lot of changes now. I am using the app to access the benefits on quartzbebefits.com. The result 0?! I have signed up for an account with Firefox already. What else could prevent me from finding quartzbenefits.com?

Hi

That website appears to open fine in Firefox. What happens when you try to open it?

Hi! The Mozilla support page; sierra.com; YouTube; https://www.webmd.com/, etc! Except the quartzbenefits.com would not open, as previously mentioned!

When I entered quartzbenefits.com in the search box of Firefox, I got “0 result” whereas with other browsers, I got multiple results directly related to quartzbenefits.com!

Hi

What happens when you tap on this link?:

https://quartzbenefits.com/

Yes! It opened! I copied the link, pasted, and opened it. So it seems that I have to type in the search box the whole https://... to enable the search, otherwise Firefox can’t find it? That’s odd! Luckily, the url is short and simple. Some others are very lengthy, and complicated, and full of characters! In such case, unless there is a better way to search that I don’t know, it’s very inconvenient, and could be impossible to search. For example, this a longer, but still rather simple url: https://pets.webmd.com/dogs/ss/slideshow-dog-picky-eater

In the case above, unless I get the link from someone, I will not be able to count on finding the topic by using keywords.

Here’s a more complicated url: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6Hgz8aH9zJQ

No! This hasn’t really solved the root of the problem! What was wrong?! Why does Firefox need to be spoon fed the exact URL to find the website? If I don’t know the cause, I will have a hard time looking up for something similar next time. Firefox should have been able to find a keyword as easily as the other browsers, but it did not!

A new issue I have recently noticed: I find that Firefox is loaded with ads in Privacy mode! The plus side is that it loads a page a little bit faster, sometimes. The ads segmented the pages I was reading into multiple chunks, making me scroll much more than usual to read an entire article! Is there a remedy for this issue? The more the ads showing up, the less safe I feel when use it!

I am not here to criticize Firefox, but I try to find a better browser to use! Unless I know what to do, how to go around a common issue, such as huge banners intrusively taking up a half the space of my smart phone’s screen, in the middle of the page, only after a very short paragraph of what I newly find and need to read, I don’t browse efficiently.

I hope you could help me a tiny bit more. Thank you!

Private browsing mode in Firefox does not block adverts, but is designed to make it easier for the history of the website that you have been using not be kept when you have finished.
