It appears that the security settings and others were changed without any notification during a recent update. A login with card number and password were subsequently saved without my knowledge thus exposing my online banking accounts to possible unauthorized use. This should not happen and should be addressed.

Thank you for your input. Perhaps I did not describe what happened in sufficient detail.... When I clicked the link to the banking login site the card number and password were already displayed and had apparently been saved by Firefox. There are no other users of the computer, fortunately, but all that was required to access my accounts was to click on the displayed login button. I have never enabled or used the save logins feature of Firefox before and had assumed it was off as usual. I subsequently deleted the saved login info in Firefox. My concern was that this might happen to others and I attributed the cause as being one of several fairly recent updates where changes, such as add-ons like Privacy Badger not being present after the update, had occurred. It appeared as if the settings had reverted to a default condition rather than as I had left them. The problem is solved as far as my using Firefox but I will be checking the settings after every update. Again, thanks for the help.

Addons aren't part of FireFox forum help that is up to the Addon developer to address your concerns if there are issue with Addons.

People are welcome to ask for help with a Extension here as trying to get direct support help from the Extension author is not required nor their only option in getting support. Also some Extension authors have their own support forum or have a ongoing thread in http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=53

Why do you keep telling people their only option is to contact the extension author for support?
