Previously when my computer would crash, Opening Firefox would give an option to restore the pages (there would be a button I could push). I counted on this feature of Firefox to be able to restore my session and did it for months.

Lately (the last 3 times my computer has crashed) this option has not appeared and trying to locate and retrieve my history has not been easy or possible. I thought I set my computer to always restore and it is not working. How can I be certain that when my computer crashes that I will be able to restore my webpages?

Not all crashes will be able to restore sessions as opposed to just closing and reopening them. One should never count that during a crash you can restore previous sessions as nothing was saved to cache or history should that happen.
