My first try: IMAP: Taking an existing mail, changing sender to another in TB existing and working mail account results in a not sended mail. Sended mail ist not in folder send. Looks like it is not possible to change the sender to another account. All this without any error being displayed. To me this is a bug. Karl

I regret you had a problem, but is it a bug to not provide a meaningful error message for every way a person might misuse Thunderbird? To me, it is not (but I'm just a volunteer). Email addresses are key elements to preserve integrity of the communication, reducing the ability for spam to be inserted. You have the right to report this as a bug, but I discourage it.
