Security Keys with AppleID
Hi, I want to sign in to icloud with my appleId via https://www.icloud.com/ with my security keys YubiKey 5C NFC, but the page states that this browser does not support security keys. Every other service as Gmail or Facebook etc ... works perfectly and the security key pop-up will show up but not for icloud. I have hardened my Firefox with uBlocker and disallowed cookies. Can it be because of this? I attached screenshot. I am running Win10 with firefox 110.0 (64-bit). I have contacted apple support and they told me it is Firefox issue. Thanks for reply.

If Apple wants you to use another Browser to verify there is nothing Firefox browser can do about it. You have to use the browser Apple chooses to verify the login.
I just confirmed this problem with MacOS 13.2.1, Firefox 110.0. I could not login to iCloud using my Yubikey security key on Firefox. I *was* able to login to iCloud using Safari, Edge and Chrome browsers. Each of them recognized the security key as expected.
I tried Firefox with a private window, disabled uBlock Origin, and turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection for icloud.com, but none of that helped. iCloud still says the browser doesn't support security keys.
Does the Web Console or Browser Console show more info ?

You can check the related security.webauth prefs on the about:config page.

Thanks for confirming my issue. I've contacted Apple support 3 times already and they were not able to provide me any information why is this happening and why Firefox is not supported.
