I am running Firefox 111.0.1 on macOS 13.2.1. After upgrading to 111, Firefox's ability to remember per-site zoom settings seems to have disappeared. Based on my perusal of some previous issues with Firefox zoom levels, I tried changing the `browser.display.os-zoom-behavior` setting in `about:config` from `1` to `0`, but this has no effect. Is there some way to restore per-site zoom level retention? That was a really nice feature that I relied on quite a bit.

Curiously, Firefox 111.0 on Manjaro Linux does not exhibit this behavior. Perhaps its an issue with the 111.0.1 patch version?

Firefox 111.0.1 on Manjaro does not exhibit this issue; it appears to be a macOS-specific thing.

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check this pref on the about:config page?

I do have that enabled. Does that prevent site-level zoom saving?

Oh I see:

  • Any Site-Specific Zoom settings are not applied

Interesting, I suppose that answers it. I wonder why Firefox can't just report a zoom level of 100% to the page regardless of what the actual zoom level is?
