How to print out/save as pdf an email WITHOUT quotes?

more options

I am getting chewed out and need to send email transcripts of like an email chain with like 50 emails. Problem is, each email gets LONGER and LONGER because both me and the recipient have replied with quotes. I have tried a couple different add ons and even thunderbird conversations but they all did the same thing. Thunderbird conversations add on actually collapses quotes but had some weird feature where it would print out an email twice and I couldn't figure out why, so It had to go.

If there is a legal concern, I suggest including everything, as that shows the content of the email conversation at the time the recipient responded. Any cutting may corrupt the paper trail.

My way of including everything is to save to PDF all the individual emails. My concern is that each individual PDF printout contains quotes, when is not necessary because of my aforementioned method. Each individual email gets longer and longer because it contains the whole conversation up until that point (as long as both parties reply with quotes).

While I could find the last email in the chain and just save that to PDF, that won't contain any conversations that branched off between other parties, while my method does, because I am saving each individual email registered to that thread.

As you have found, you are most unlikely to get what you want. This is especially so when folk get to legal action as the entire email body, quotes and duplicated content included is "the email" not an excerpt that removes the context of the statement from the exchange. This is despite it being quoted over and over.

I don't know what you mean by "legal action". What's the legal difference between printing out the last email in a chain that shows each reply, and printing out all replies as they appear from the thread? It would make more sense in my view to do the latter since its easier to select a hundread emails in a folder and hit the print button. I guess I should have used lotus notes for my business....
