Since a few days, it is not possible to copy-and-paste any external text or content into the text field of WhatApp Web on Firefox. It works fine on Chrome. Also text manually copied from a previous WA message can be pasted.

We tried on other PCs with Firefox and Chrome, same situation. So it seems to be a problem of Firefox latest version.

Its a bug in WhatsApp and they are working on deploying a fix hopefully soon today sometime.

You can keep an eye on https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/125920 and perhaps https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1849150 as it will get updated when WhatsApp deploys the fix even though the bugzilla bug was marked four days ago.
