I have used Thunderbird for several years with two emails from brighthouse.com (now spectrum). One of the accounts recently (2 week) started prompting for password and never accepts my password as valid. I still can get emails on it but can't send.

I am using the same password I use to get access to account on my second email account on Thunderbird, as well as the spectrum webmail app, and my cell phone without issue.

Attached are screenshots of the server settings for IMAP and SMTP. Your help would be appreciated.

The outgoing server should use STARTTLS security on 587 with 'normal password' authentication. Also, make sure the jlc account sends on the Spectrum smtp and the jcabrera account sends on the Charter Communications smtp (bottom of right pane, first picture).

So, I called Spectrum and they said I had to reset password. I did not change anything else. It works now. Go figure.
