Windows 11 system; currently running 131.0.3 (64-bit).

Was offered the chance to update to 132.0 (About | Help) (I do not and will not ever allow automatic updates without user approval, and my profile is stored in an entirely separate folder structure well away from the insecure \users hierarchy). Did the usual click on the update button, showed 132.0 downloading, update button changed to "Restart to Update", clicked the button...

And the update failed. Help | About shows 131.0.3, and the "Restart to Update" button is still active.

Tried again with a full shutdown instead of using the update button, same result.

So how do I force this update to install?

Wasn't a help...

(1) Not running Windows 7 or Vista; tried as "administrator" and that didn't help. (2) Rebooting did not change things, not even rebooting after shutting down Firefox manually before the restart. (3) Only the standard Windows 11 security software is running, and this occurred specifically with 132.x (which was between software updates from Microsoft). (4) Perhaps most to the point, there's no "fail" message at all -- just an endless loop suggesting that I restart to update, and retaining the current version number. That is, it fails without a failure notice.
