I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and that hasn't fixed the prob. Also put firefox in the allowed programs in the windows firewall. Explorer connects. There is no proxy, the wireless is sound.

Have you tried everything in the Server Not Found - Troubleshoot connection problems article?

more options

Yes, except for the # DNS Prefetching and

  1. IPv6. I don't understand what doing those things does, and am very uncomfortable taking an action that warns me I could void my warranty. On a side note, although explorer will work, only the 64 bit version will, not the other one. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with Firefox not working.
