This has been a problem since Firefox 3.0 and it's STILL not fixed!!! WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT?!?!

I have a local pop up that I use for weather. Before ver. 3 it worked just fine. Since 3 it's been a PITA!

I've tried putting in "SCHEME", "C", "FILE", "LOCAL" and "LOCALHOST" but it still blocks my local popup. "ALLOW PUP-UPS FOR" is completely USELESS!! Every time I open the window (which is every time I boot my comp) it asks me to allow the pop-up. I have to click "SHOW 'file:///C:/Personal/My Webs/Weather PU/weather.html'" EVER time.

This has been a problem for YEARS. Search the bug reports for proof!! Is there a workaround? This is INSANE!!

You can't set an exception for links opened with the file protocol.
You have to use http://localhost/

I've tried that!!

"I've tried putting in "SCHEME", "C", "FILE", "LOCAL" and "LOCALHOST" "

When you type in http://localhost/ it puts "localhost" in and nothing else.
