Arabic disconnected letter: when choosing a Sans Serif arabic font the letter prior to the accentuated letter disconnects...I have tried all the combinations in vain; only the Serif fonts work out but the webpage becomes very ugly to read.

The thing is since I have installed Firefox on my new MacBook Pro (with Mac OS 10.6.3) a problem with arabic websites appeared.

When a letter is accentuated the letter preceding it looks disconnected.

I am using a Sans Serif font for Arabic.

All the encodings and font settings are OK. The problem is solved when switching to Serif fonts but people who visit arabic websites know that this is a very ugly font category to use.

Any idea what could be the problem?
